Who We Are

Mission Statement:
´The mission of the Treatment Research Network is:
  1. To provide an outlet for SRNT members who work in tobacco dependence treatment research to network with one another
  2. To provide scientific advice on matters of tobacco dependence treatment and guidance to the SRNT Board and committees as necessary to better inform programs and/or discussions that address the treatment of tobacco dependence.  
´This mission will be advanced by:
  1. Communication network (website, listserv, social media)
  2. Scientific presentations (webinars, SRNT annual meetings)
  3. Collaboration with other tobacco treatment organizations, such as TreatTobacco.Net and the Association for the Treatment of Tobacco Use and Dependence (ATTUD)
  4. Other activities as appropriate
Equity Statement:
´The network is committed to anti-racism and health disparities within all network activities. We are committed to creating an environment for the members that values and takes action to support diversity, inclusion, and belonging. The network supports and values research to improve treatment for commercial tobacco use among all people, including those from minoritized and historically marginalized communities.
